Town Clerk / Tax Collector

The Town Clerk's office records activities of the town government and is the central place in which all documents and papers vital to the lives of the townspeople are filed. The Town Clerk has custody of all the records, books and papers of the town. The clerk also issues certificates such as marriage, birth and death, and issues all licenses or permits including dog licenses, birth certificates and conservation licenses.

The Town Clerk is also the Town Tax Collector. Billings and payment schedules are mailed to each taxpayer annually.

The Town of Gardiner is seeking a Deputy Town Clerk.
