The Assessor will oversee the work of the Assessor’s Field Worker, keep current all property assessments in the Town of Gardiner, apply market trends to data, file exemptions (Enhanced STAR, Agricultural, Veteran’s, etc.), and answer resident questions during regular Town Hall business hours.

Using the County GIS Map
Click here to view an on-line version of the Ulster County GIS, including tax map.

GIS is the abbreviation for Geographic Information System. The town Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals often identify applications by the tax map section-block-lot (SBL) number. You can use this identifier in the Ulster County GIS to find the geographic location of the subdivision, special permit or zoning variance application. Use the link above to "Ulster County GIS", select the municipality (Gardiner), then from the menu "Tools" select "Search by Parcel ID". Enter the SBL number in the notice and then generate a map.

Find your property on the county GIS map by using the SBL tax map identifier from your County real property tax bill.  Check for state-designated wetlands, etc.
