Ulster County Pool Address: 241 Libertyville Rd, New Paltz, NY 12561

Pool information: We have our own Lifeguard! We assign each kid a colored band based on their swimming ability. The lifeguard will have each child do a swim test. Kids from 5-7 will be assigned the kiddie pool at first. If they want to test to be in the big pool they are welcome to let their counselor know!

Each child over 7 will have to take a swim test. During the swim test, the lifeguard will determine where in the pool the child is able to swim. We section the main pool off into three parts. The shallow end, deep end and diving board. They are all assigned a different colored band. The lifeguards at the pool are made aware of the colors. All children are supervised by their counselors and support staff through the day. We all are all mindful of the wrist bands and make sure children stay in their designated area.

Friday: Field trip, Drop off/pick up at Majestic park.

We have some fun field trips planned for this year!

Each field trip will be $20 each. Except the Ulster County Fair, which is $12.

Field trip money should be brought in exact cash on that Friday and given directly to the camper's counselor. Preferably the money is put into an envelope labeled with the camper’s name and group number. The counselor will give their groups payment to Brian and Kat at attendance. The entire camp calendar and schedule including field trips is available at the top of this webpage!

Again, it is up to you if you want to send your camper with extra money on field trips.

Other information

Meals: Please note that campers must bring meals, drinks and snacks from home.  We do not provide food items except for special occasions.  If anyone has food restrictions please be sure to indicate those to the camp director and/or assistant director.

Sunscreen: Please send sunscreen to camp each day with your camper.  We can help younger campers apply it correctly.  We remind campers to reapply sunscreen throughout the day.

Staying cool: We recommend sending an insulated water bottle for campers to help them stay cool and hydrated.  Some campers find that spritzing themselves with water mist throughout the day also helps keep them cool.  Other campers bring a wet cloth that they keep on their neck on hotter days.

First Day information: On the first day Campers can be dropped off or you may park in the parking lot and walk your child in. We will have group lists posted at the gate and Counselors will line up with their group numbers visible. If your child needs any medication, please bring it on the first day and give it to the counselor. Group lists will also be sent out the night before camp starts. We do our best to accommodate all group requests from registration. If your child is not happy in their group, please let us know and we will discuss changes.

The following is a link to google form with Camper Rights, Rules, and Responsibilities. Please discuss them with your child and submit the form by the first day.

We are all really excited for another fun year of camp, we hope the campers are too!

We have so much fun stuff planned!

See you all soon,
